Chapter Positions
Our group consists of several volunteer committee positions. There is something for everyone. We have included a list and brief descriptions.
Calendar Committee
Creates the group’s monthly calendar of activities (with opportunities to gather with other moms and kids similar in age, fun places to visit, special events given in & around the community) and post it on the website.
Co-Leader
Presides over all chapter and organizational meetings. Coordinates and works with committee members to ensure chapter activities are scheduled, maintained and flowing smoothly. Co-Leaders are the main liaison with the National portion of Mothers & More.
Community Outreach
Coordinates four community outreach activities between the group membership and the local organization.
Fundraising
Coordinates bi-annual fundraising events like splash passes and yard sale as well as comes up with different ideas for fundraising.
Membership Committee
Responds to inquiries of potential members, through either the website or other forms of media. Follows up with potential members. Has new members complete local info form and shares info with group in a welcome message through local email loop.
Publicity
Develops and distributes flyers around town advertising our group, contacts local newspapers with events, maintains craigslist posting.
Secretary
Records minutes of monthly meetings, post it on the website.
Sunshine Committee
Coordinates member volunteers to bring food to those in our chapter who have had a baby, are ill or otherwise are in need of a few meals. This committee also sends cards for various occasions (children’s birthday, email cards for mom’s birthdays, thank you notes, etc).
Treasurer
Primary point of contact for all financial needs of the chapter. Balances checkbook against monthly statements. Makes necessary chapter deposits. Maintains receipts and utilize chapter account to reimburse members for appropriate expenses. Works with the National office on the annual chapter tax report.
Web Committee
Creates, maintains, updates local website of the chapter. Communicates with chapter leadership, and other committees, on focus and intent of website.
